As a kid my mom told me I spent too much time watching TV. She said it wouldn’t lead to a career and that it would rot my brain. I can’t tell you with certainty that my brain hasn’t rotted, but all those hours of watching TV and movies did lead me to want to be an editor.
Nothing is more satisfying than the challenge of starting with just an idea, and creating a finished story that entertains people. Having worked in a variety of genres, from a daily talk show, reality TV, documentary, broadcast spots, and social media, it all comes down to telling an entertaining and compelling story.
